The hectic run-up to the festive season isn’t complete in our house without a slightly fraught trip to the shops, followed by a much-needed visit to the UK’s favourite coffee shop – Costa Coffee. The sight of the little gingerbread man poking out of the top of my Gingerbread & Cream Latte gives me warm fuzzies and reignites my festive cheer every time.
Here at Kimm & Miller, we are particularly excited about Costa launching their new festive cups for 2018. We were privileged to get a sneaky peek at the designs when we were prepping the artwork for our Costa Festive Travel Mug, currently retailing in Debenhams and available here
Costa are really spoiling us with some new additions to both their drink and food menu this Christmas, so we’ve chosen some highlights below (and for those of you that travel a lot, Costa Express machines are also vending some of these new options as well, so you can get your festive coffee fix wherever you are)…
Hazelnut praline & cream
Costa’s signature latte, flavoured with hazelnut syrup, atop a thick layer of Belgian Chocolate sauce topped with a swirl of cream and new Crispy Chocolate Truffle Crumb. This one is selling out everywhere so grab one where you can. Also available in Hot Chocolate.
Caramelised orange
A fan favourite, new and improved for 2018. Costa Hot Chocolate flavoured with caramelised orange syrup and topped with a swirl of whipped cream, crowned with a dried orange slice. Also available in a Latte.
Winter roast
Costa have released a Limited Edition Winter Character Roast – a rich and wintery blend of winter berries, dark cocoa and warming cinnamon.
Savoury food
I’m already having palpitations about the Pigs & Blankets Mac n’ Cheese as it sounds unbelievably good. Mac ‘N’ Cheese topped with mini pork sausages, bacon and spinach finished with a parsley crumb. Y-UM!
And for those of you with a sweet tooth (that’s pretty much everyone here at K&M) Costa have also developed some fabulous new festive baked treats:
Gingerbread & Sticky Toffee Wreath Cake
Rich aromatic gingerbread sponge topped with fondant icing, crushed ginger, drizzled with swirls of sticky toffee and finished with golden chocolate stars
Double Chocolate Yule Log
Chocolate sponge topped with chocolate icing, malted balls, chocolate curls and finished with a golden shimmer.
There’s something for everyone at Costa this Christmas – including vegan and gluten-free options as well. So go, on, treat yourself!
