It was our pleasure to attend the Brand & Lifestyle Licensing Awards last Thursday 26th April at the Dorchester. The prestigious B&LLAs is one of our favourite calendar events of the year; now in their third year, the awards are attended by numerous retailers, licensees, brand owners and other representatives from the industry.
Having been announced as a finalist for the Best Brand Licensed Gifting Range for our iconic vintage Kellogg’s gift range, we were excited to hear which of the finalists in our category would be revealed as the winner on the big day.
Each year the B&LLAs is a great opportunity for us to catch up with some familiar faces and celebrate successes within the industry (and also enjoy a few G&Ts in good company!). The pre-awards talk led by Laura Tenison MBE – founder and MD of JoJo Maman Bébé – was both inspiring and very entertaining, only to be followed by host Richard E Grant’s priceless anecdotes, which caused much tittering amongst our table and the rest of the audience.

The results
Wild & Wolf’s lovely Orla Kiely Stationery Collection was pronounced this year’s Best Brand Licensed Gifting Range – congratulations! Meanwhile, Richard Pink of Pink Key Licensing (licensing agent for our vintage Kellogg’s range) won the much-deserved Brand Ambassador of the Year award with a standing ovation – wishing him a huge congratulations for this accolade.
All in all, we had a fantastic day out (minus the not winning part), finishing off our evening with a round of drinks nearby before heading home, ready for work bright and early the next morning! Almost a week later, we’re now well-recovered and looking forward to next year’s do…
